Race 2 Rome

The Dodd1e’5 Gr4nd Slam riders will depart Murrayfield on Wednesday 28th February, cycling 3000km to Rome, via each of the Rugby 6 Nations stadia, in 9 days.  This feat is being undertaken to raise money and awareness for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and help find a cure for MND.  The Race to Rome Challenge is an opportunity to support the team, get active and ride all the way to Rome without the hills, wind, rain, sleep deprivation and cold of the road.

  • Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to assemble a team from your local sports club, school or company; find a static bike and as a team try to beat the Dodd1e’5 Gr4nd S7am Team to Rome.

  • There is no cost to join the challenge but each team should be aiming to raise as much money through donations & sponsorship as possible for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. There is no limit to the number in your team but you should use static bikes and accurately record distances completed.

The challenge will start at 12 noon on 28th February and run until 5pm on 8th March, when the team aims to arrive in Rome.

  • Once registered your team will be directed to the Race2Rome Info page, where you will find more details to help you with fundraising etc. To receive updates during the event sign up and follow us on our Social Media channels.

Prizes! There will be prizes for various achievements! Not limited to the first team to virtual Rome.

  • The objective will be to raise money for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, so this should be the focus.
