Co-leader of the team. Rob is a family man and endurance athlete, he hopes to co-lead our team to Endure, Engage, Educate and Enjoy and make new friends whilst fundraising.
Bio
Husband, Father of 3 and a Grandfather of Two
Managing Director - Boyns Information Systems Ltd - Est. 1996 - We are an MSP and focus on Managed Service Provision of IT, Telephony and Communcation Systems for SME's with an emphasis on Cyber Security and the mitigation of such attacks.
Education:- MSc. Computer Science BSc
Public Speaking:- Topics relating to SME Experience, Leadership, Adventure Expeditions and Endurance Events.

Sporting or Endurance Achievements and Notable Charitable Events:
I competed at a reasonable level in Rugby for many years and subsequently have focused on Endurance events. I have been Mountaineering in Nepal and summited a 6000m Peak, I have completed 11 Ironman Races and did Pen y Fan 10 times (10yFan) in 19 hours which was an assent of 4620m of elevation and over 60km of mountaineering which was tiring.
I rode a Bike 555 miles in about 48 Hours which was hard!
Each year I try and do an Endurance event for Charity and over the last 4 years have been involved with My Names Doddie Foundation and the Teams I have been involved in have raised over £500K over the years. This Year My Co-Captain and I lead a Team to Australia where we collaborated with a similar bunch of folk and rode from Melbourne to Sydney to raise monies and awareness to fight MND.
Interests & Hobbies:
Sport:- Rugby, all things triathlon and Skiing - and spending time with my family.
Interesting fact or quote:
I once played the Violin - It clashed with Rugby Training and I got myself banned from the Orchestra by being an idiot which enabled me to dump the ffidil and focus on the Rugby.
I lived on a remote Island off the coast of Newfoundland for 4 months as a 12 year old and worked in a fish factory.
I used to help train race horses.
