Introducing Cirion Townsley
Bio:
I’m 35 (nearly 36!) based in South Wales and a proud family man with a full, lively household — my wife, our three boys, a dog, a horse, and even a Shetland pony keep life wonderfully busy. I’ve spent my career as a successful salesman across several tech companies, but what drives me most is showing my family and close friends that with determination and heart, you really can achieve anything you set your mind to especially when you can do something for a brilliant cause.
Sporting or Endurance Achievements and Notable Charitable Events:
I have done various charity fundraising runs for cancer research when I was a younger man, mainly half marathons/10K’s.
This will be the first key charitable achievement for me in a number of years, I was really inspired by a talk I saw of Rob Boyns a couple of years ago at a Network Group event that we attended. So this ride will be the first big part of the year for me followed by my first marathon not too long after and then onto various other runs/cycling events throughout the year.
Interests & Hobbies:
I keep active with family life, forever travelling with work or family and we have a camper campervan. The wife has horses so I get dragged into them. I try to play the guitar and have a habit of picking up hobbies and dropping them quite regularly. I also go to watch the rugby as often as I can watching Wales play and I will also try to go to a handful of concerts every year as music is a big part of my life.
Interesting fact or quote:
A quote that I have always lived by is ‘happy are those that dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true’
